Philosophy from a dinner
Yesterday, have a great old Beijing style dinner with two Franch friends. In Chinese, we call it "Huoguo", and I don't know how will other people call it, maybe steamed pot. It's a way of all guys sitting around with boiled water. The pot must be made of copper, and must use coal as fire materials in the middle of the pot. Then you put your food, such as beef, mutton, vegetables, such thing into the pot and wait for a minite, you can take them out and eat it with some specially mixed soup. My friend enjoyed it very much.
During the dinner, waitress adjust the fire only with a piece of copper to control it. The copper will block the airflow to the coal, if more blocked, less air flow in and the fire will be weak. If less blocked, more air flow in and the fire will be strong. A very efficietn way with a very simple tools. Thus we begin the discussion of simple philosophy. You can judge if one thing can be work just according to the complexcity. A very simple thing can work very well just like the piece of cooper and chalk stick in China.

You will spend more on insurance if you use tobacco
I investigated some foreign insurance company, each company will ask if you use tobacco in the past 12 months. That means you will pay more if you use tobacco. Interesting, if you want to same money and live longer, stop smoking from Now. :)
How to make a life insurance plan
It's quite different if you are in different countires. In China, most people don't want to pay a lot for the insurance. Yearly payment can't be more than two months' salary, that's around 5,000 RMB. This do suiltable to lower income people. But for some high income people. The salary will be around 10,000 RMB, then 5000 yearly payment will be too less for them. This contract can't give them any assure in the future.
Normally, your insurance contact should cover about 10 to 15 times of your yearly income. That's meanful. I am not sure if it's also suitable to other countries. Maybe someone can give me some advice.

None can ingore the power of insurance agents's words. He or she can persuade you to make a purchase decision in only half an hour or even shorter. We have heard l lots of examples in the past. Some most famous agents are continuely creating new record of selling life insurances in an hour or one day.
A typial senior will be, you met an agent in pub, you talked about the future, then he give you some good advice, such as you must prepare for your future, and don't live like others. You should be intelligent enough to operate a very nice future. You can't tolerant to face a poor life when you are old. So you become a new customers of the agent.
Yes, I totally agree you shouldn't only care today's life. You need to take some time to consider the life when you are old. So do the goverment. But not the life insurance company. Insurance can be a part, but not all. You can depend on an insurance company to secure your life after 20 or 30 years.
Normally, you should have a clear map about your plan. Not just what the agent tell you. How much can he know about you in ten minutes' talk? Do you really think his propose is suitable to you?

采取什么样的策略?
可悲的知识收集发烧友
如果我们把“集邮”和“音乐发烧”这样的偏好看作无可非议,就很容易理解为什么那些以“收集财富”为偏好的人同样地认为自己的行为无可非议。事实上,我周围有许多以“收集知识”为偏好的人,即所谓“学者”。像任何占有欲一样,越是杰出的学者,就越对“知识”表现出强烈得不符合理性的占有欲。
对知识的超出理性程度的占有欲,更广泛地表现在我的许多学生当中。他们生活在“宽带网时代”,知识分布在广袤的虚拟时空内,知识不可能被一一阅读和理解,知识只能被收集和储存在容量越来越大的硬盘里。
当知识不再被理解和装到头脑里而是仅仅被收集的时候,网虫们收集知识的行为就很难给他们带来财富了。也因此,他们可以被归入与“音乐发烧友”相同的类别——花费了时间却没有物质回报。

利己利他辨证对共享知识的意义
质疑CRM的8020原则
此文对客户关系管理中的8020原则提出了质疑,原来也考虑过类似的问题,但是没有作者写的那么细那么专业。
对于这个问题,个人以为销售收入的20%和利润的20%都要争取,都是重要的客户,因为两者对企业的生存和发展起着不同的作用。
对于海尔这样的企业,可能8020还要区分一下层次,由于中间销售和分销商的存在,海尔的客户管理策略是面向直接用户还是分销商,这是一个很需要权衡的问题。从事实来看,海尔针对直接用户的手段主要还是广告和促销活动,还没有启动那种针对高端用户的直接促销;更多的力量仍然放在分销上面,这种情况下,国美苏宁这样的巨头,即使利润比较低,也是不能放弃的。但是个人认为海尔未来应该加强对个人的营销攻势,除了俱乐部等活动外,给高端用户以更多的关照。
8020本身就是一个虚的概念,用以说明问题,作者倒是大可不必如此针对这个数字发表太多的言论,毕竟有8020,就有9010,还有7030,数字不说明问题,重要的是客户的区分对待,能通过不同的客户属性采取不同的措施。CRM可不应该是把所有的钱都花在20%的客户身上。
